He climbed up there the green hills of Veneto

He walked along the sleepy alleys in the first light of day. In his pocket the notebook with pages  filled with words and two olive leaves between the yellowed pages. The light of the fire could already be seen from the street, beyond the misty windows. He approached cautiously and lingered for a few moments at the door: here was the man, the power of the flame, the talented hand forging slow and perfect.

And here is the murrina: perfect and yet imperfect, a small masterpiece of colour and transparency. He saw it slide on the old wooden bench and roll to the bottle. He picked it up and placed it on the cap. He watched it  shine with the gold of the oil. And he thought of his meadows up there, his woods, his olive trees, which at that hour of the morning shiver with frost and in the summer with dew. He thought of his dream vibrating in the same way. And he felt happy.
